Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated the BJP's landmark third consecutive win in the Haryana Assembly elections, using the occasion to criticize the Opposition and warn of global conspiracies aimed at destabilizing India's economy, democracy, and social fabric. Speaking to party workers at the BJP headquarters in Delhi on Tuesday night, Modi accused the Congress and its allies of being involved in these efforts.
Modi praised the BJP's success, which defied exit poll predictions, securing 48 seats in the Haryana Assembly. He described the victory as a testament to truth, development, and good governance. "On such a holy day, the lotus has bloomed for the third time in Haryana," Modi declared, adding that the win would resonate across the country.
The Prime Minister also commended voters from all communities for their support, emphasizing that the triumph reflected the success of his administration's policies. Referring to Haryana as the land of the Gita, he said, "Truth has triumphed here," underscoring the symbolic importance of the state in terms of justice and progress.
PM Modi Criticizes Congress:
Modi accused the Congress party of treating political power as its "birthright" and struggling to survive without it. He remarked, "When Congress is out of power, it's like a fish out of water," criticizing the party’s eagerness to return to government. He further accused Congress of putting its own interests ahead of the country’s, alleging that the party was willing to sacrifice the nation’s well-being for its own political gains.
Historic Win in Haryana:
Reflecting on Haryana's political history, Modi noted that since its formation in 1966, the state had frequently changed governments every five years. "In 13 elections, 10 times the people have changed the government," he observed, highlighting the significance of the BJP’s historic victory. He praised the people of Haryana for breaking this pattern and giving the BJP a chance to continue its work.
Acknowledging Party Workers' Efforts:
Modi attributed the BJP's success in Haryana to the dedication and hard work of the party's workers and leaders. He singled out BJP Chief JP Nadda and the Haryana team for their commitment, while also lauding the leadership of Haryana’s Chief Minister. "This victory is the result of the tireless efforts of our workers and the humble service of our Chief Minister," Modi said.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the BJP's victory would further consolidate its position and bring lasting progress to Haryana.
