In a tweet, PM Modi lauded Chopra’s achievement, calling him a symbol of excellence. He praised Chopra's consistency and brilliance, expressing national pride in his success. Modi’s message highlighted Chopra's role in inspiring future athletes and bringing pride to the nation.

Chopra's best throw in the final was 89.45 meters, achieved on his second attempt, which was his personal best at the Olympics. The gold medal was claimed by Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem, who set a new Olympic record with a throw of 92.97 meters.
