Chopra's best throw in the final was 89.45 meters, achieved on his second attempt, which was his personal best at the Olympics. The gold medal was claimed by Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem, who set a new Olympic record with a throw of 92.97 meters. Chopra’s performance was also notable for surpassing his previous Olympic best of 89.34 meters, which helped him secure the top spot in the qualification round.
