Prime Minister Modi Meditates at Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanyakumari
Prime Minister Narendra Modi meditates at Kanyakumari's Vivekananda Rock Memorial, symbolizing national unity ahead of the Lok Sabha election culmination
31-05-2024Prime Minister Narendra Modi's serene meditation session at Kanyakumari's Vivekananda Rock Memorial marked the first visuals of his spiritual retreat, where he will remain till Saturday evening. Positioned at the Dhyan Mandapam, the very site Swami Vivekananda once meditated in 1892, Modi aims to connect with India's future while drawing inspiration from the revered philosopher-saint.
The significance of Kanyakumari, where the Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal, and Arabian Sea converge, resonates with the BJP's message of national unity, as highlighted by party leaders. Pictures released by the party depict Modi deep in meditation at the memorial, emphasizing the solemnity of the occasion.
Accompanying the visuals, a video shared by news agency ANI captures the Prime Minister's tranquil contemplation amidst the picturesque surroundings.
PM Modi's visit to Kanyakumari coincides with the culmination of the marathon Lok Sabha elections, scheduled to conclude on June 1, with the vote count slated for June 4. As he aims for a third term, this spiritual interlude echoes his pre-election ritual before the 2019 Lok Sabha election results, where he undertook a similar introspective journey in Uttarakhand, captured meditating in a sacred cave near Kedarnath.
