Hyderabad witnessed a tragic turn of events during the much-anticipated Pushpa 2 premiere on December 4 at Sandhya Theatre. A massive crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of superstar Allu Arjun, but chaos erupted when the actor made a surprise appearance, resulting in a stampede-like situation. A 39-year-old woman lost her life, and her nine-year-old son remains critically injured.

Revathi, a resident of Dilsukhnagar, had come to the theatre with her husband Bhaskar and their two children, Sri Tej (9) and Sanvika (7), to watch the premiere. The situation spiraled out of control when fans surged towards the entrance upon Allu Arjun’s arrival, leading to panic and overcrowding. Revathi and her son were caught in the melee and lost consciousness.

Both were rushed to Durga Bhai Deshmukh Hospital in Vidyanagar by the police. Tragically, Revathi was declared dead on arrival. Her son, Sri Tej, whose condition remains critical, was later transferred to KIMS Hospital in Begumpet for further treatment. Revathi’s body was subsequently moved to Gandhi Mortuary.

The incident occurred around 10:30 PM when Allu Arjun made an appearance at the venue, accompanied by heavy security. The crowd’s excitement turned into chaos, and despite police efforts to manage the situation, the stampede left several injured.

After the screening, Allu Arjun was seen leaving the premises under tight security. He briefly addressed the crowd, urging them to clear the way for traffic. The tragic incident has cast a shadow over the highly anticipated film’s premiere, leaving fans and authorities shaken.
