Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das has been ranked as the top central banker globally for the second consecutive year, receiving an "A+" rating in the prestigious 2024 Global Finance Central Banker Report Cards. This recognition underscores his exceptional performance in managing key economic areas, including inflation control, currency stability, economic growth, and interest rate policies.

The annual report, published by Global Finance magazine since 1994, assesses central bank governors from 101 countries and regions, as well as central banks within the European Union and several regional institutions. The rankings celebrate those who demonstrate innovation, creativity, and determination in steering their respective economies.

This recent accolade adds to Governor Das's growing list of achievements. Earlier in 2023, he was honored as 'Governor of the Year' at the Central Banking Awards in London, further cementing his standing as one of the world’s leading central bankers.
