Rishi Sunak, the former British Prime Minister, and his wife, Akshata Murty, were recently seen enjoying a quiet coffee at Third Wave Coffee in Bengaluru. The couple, dressed casually, looked relaxed as they ordered at the counter and settled down to enjoy their drinks. Rishi Sunak wore a white shirt and black trousers, while Akshata Murty was dressed in a pastel kurta. The coffee date was a rare sighting of the couple, given their busy schedules.

Social media users quickly took notice of the outing, with many sharing photos and videos of the couple. Some users playfully commented on Sunak’s connection to Infosys, joking about his long hours at the company’s Electronic City office. One Twitter user shared a video of the couple, saying, “Spotted Rishi Sunak and Akshata Murty right across from my table at Third Wave. It really does pay off going to Third Wave guys.”

The couple was greeted by excited locals, many of whom asked for selfies, which Sunak and Murty gladly took.

Before their coffee outing, the couple, along with Sunak’s in-laws, visited the Sri Raghavendra Swami Mutt in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, where they sought blessings and participated in rituals. Sunak, who made history as the UK’s first Prime Minister of Hindu descent, has Indian ancestry. Last year, he visited the Akshardham Temple in Delhi with his wife ahead of the G20 Summit, where they performed a puja and abhishek ceremony.
