TV actress Rupali Ganguly, known for her roles in "Sarabhai vs Sarabhai" and "Anupamaa," has expressed her deep concern over the situation of religious minorities in Bangladesh amidst ongoing protests. Ganguly took to social media platform X to urge people to raise their voices against the persecution.

"The stories of persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh have left me in a state of anguish," Ganguly wrote. "Having my father’s roots in present-day Bangladesh, it scares me to think of the constant atrocities and violence the minorities are being subjected to. This is the time for every human being throughout the world to stand up and raise our voice for the protection of the helpless and vulnerable minorities in Bangladesh."

Ganguly also included the hashtags #AllEyesOnBangladesh and #AllEyesOnBangladeshiHindu in her post.

Actor Adil Hussain has also voiced his concern regarding the issue. He shared his thoughts on X, stating, "Heart-wrenching visuals from Bangladesh. The attacks and atrocities on minority communities and others in Bangladesh are shocking! India must do more to protect them."

Hussain continued, "I stand with the pains and sufferings of the victims. And I urge the perpetrators to stand down. They should hang their heads in shame for their actions. All political leaders, specifically Muslim leaders of India, must call out these perpetrators."

The protests in Bangladesh, initially sparked by disputes over government job quotas, have escalated into widespread violence, causing Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to flee the country and seek asylum in India. Despite her departure, the violence has continued, with rampant looting and rioting. Minority communities, particularly Hindus, have been specifically targeted during these unrests.
