Sachin Tendulkar, accompanied by his wife Anjali and children Arjun and Sara, paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday to formally invite him to Arjun Tendulkar’s wedding with Saaniya Chandhok. The former India captain later shared pictures from the meeting on social media, expressing gratitude for the Prime Minister’s blessings and guidance for the young couple.
In his Instagram post, Sachin described the interaction as an honour and thanked PM Modi for offering meaningful advice ahead of the couple’s new journey together.
Wedding celebrations are set to begin on March 3, with the main ceremony scheduled for March 5, 2026. Arjun and Saaniya had announced their engagement in August 2025.
Arjun Tendulkar, who recently moved from Mumbai Indians to Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League, continues to make his mark in domestic cricket. Known for his all-round abilities, he has represented Goa as a left-arm pacer and lower-order batsman, earning attention after scoring a century on his Ranji Trophy debut in 2022 — mirroring a milestone once achieved by his legendary father.
Despite the constant scrutiny that comes with carrying the Tendulkar name, Arjun has shown promise across formats and remains in the spotlight as he prepares for the next IPL season with his new franchise.
Saaniya Chandhok, an accomplished entrepreneur, hails from a prominent Mumbai business family and is the granddaughter of noted industrialist Ravi Ghai. Reports suggest she has been part of the Tendulkar family’s close circle for several years.
As wedding preparations gather pace, the event is expected to draw attention from both the sporting world and social circles alike.
