Sanjay Singh Claims Arvind Kejriwal's Health Deteriorates in Jail, Alleges BJP Conspiracy
AAP MP Sanjay Singh has alleged that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's health has significantly deteriorated in jail due to a BJP-led conspiracy
13-07-2024AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh has alleged that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has lost 8.5 kg and experienced dangerously low blood sugar levels multiple times since his arrest.
During a press conference, Singh accused the BJP-led Central government of conspiring to make Kejriwal suffer from a "serious disease," describing the situation as "highly worrisome."
Kejriwal has been in Tihar Jail since April 1, following his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the liquor policy case.
Singh reported that Kejriwal's weight had dropped from 70 kg at the time of his arrest on March 21 to 61.5 kg. "The BJP aims to torture Kejriwal in jail and the Modi government's aim is to play with his life," he stated.
Singh expressed concern over the unknown reasons behind Kejriwal's weight loss, noting that no medical tests had been conducted. He suggested that the weight loss could indicate a serious health issue.
Additionally, Singh revealed that Kejriwal's blood sugar levels had fallen below 50 mg/dL on five occasions. "If the sugar level is falling every time, any person can go into a coma. The question is why is all this being done to Kejriwal," he questioned.
Although the Supreme Court granted Kejriwal interim bail on Friday in the case filed by the ED, he remains in jail due to his arrest in the corruption case being investigated by the CBI.
Singh criticized the timing of the CBI's actions, stating, "When there was hope that relief would be obtained from the Supreme Court, the CBI made a fabricated case against Kejriwal before. All this is being done to play with his life."
