Shivraj Singh Chouhan Labels Rahul Gandhi 'Childish', Accuses Him of Spreading Lies
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan criticized Rahul Gandhi, calling him
08-07-2024Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday labeled Rahul Gandhi as "bal buddhi" (childish) and accused him of spreading confusion and lies. These remarks were in response to Gandhi's recent statement about defeating the Ram Mandir movement.
"Rahul Gandhi is childish and hasn't matured yet. He hasn't become a proper opposition leader. He claims that the INDIA bloc defeated the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. Rahul ji, Ram represents our existence, our ideals, our life, our God, and the identity of India," Chouhan stated to reporters after attending the BJP state working committee meeting in Bhopal.
During a Congress workers' meeting in Gujarat on Saturday, Rahul Gandhi asserted that by defeating the BJP in Ayodhya, the INDIA bloc had overcome the Ram Mandir movement initiated by L K Advani.
Responding to a query, Chouhan mocked Gandhi's statement, insisting that India cannot be understood without Lord Ram.
"This movement has ousted the Congress from power numerous times and facilitated the construction of a divine and grand temple. Yet, Rahul Gandhi only spreads falsehoods," Chouhan added.
He further accused Gandhi of lying in Parliament about Agniveer martyrs and the government's Minimum Support Price (MSP).
"Rahul knows nothing but lying and causing confusion. This 'Bal Buddhi' just says whatever comes to his mind, which has become the Congress's tendency. Under his leadership, the Congress invites misfortune," Chouhan remarked.
During his visit to Ahmedabad, Gandhi also claimed that the Congress would defeat the BJP in its Gujarat stronghold in the 2027 assembly polls, similar to how the BJP candidate was defeated in Ayodhya.
In the recent Lok Sabha elections, Samajwadi Party's Awadhesh Prasad defeated BJP candidate Lallu Singh from the Faizabad seat, which includes the Ayodhya assembly segment.
