Shots were reportedly fired outside Punjabi singer AP Dhillon's residence on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, with gangster Rohit Godara, allegedly associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claiming responsibility. The incident, which occurred recently, has caused concern, although details remain unclear.
A circulating video, which has yet to be independently verified, shows a man firing multiple shots outside a house at night. This video, making rounds on the internet, is believed to be linked to the incident, but the location remains unconfirmed.
The alleged gunfire outside AP Dhillon's home comes after the singer featured Bollywood star Salman Khan in a music video. Godara, in a post, reportedly threatened the singer and claimed the incident was in response to the collaboration. The post also mentioned another shooting in Woodbridge, Toronto.
Canadian authorities are investigating the claims and analyzing the footage. AP Dhillon has yet to comment on the matter, and local police have not issued a statement.
This isn't the first time the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has been linked to such incidents. In November last year, the group reportedly targeted singer Gippy Grewal's home in Vancouver. Additionally, in April, two assailants fired shots outside Salman Khan's residence in Mumbai, with Bishnoi and his brother Anmol being named as wanted suspects by Mumbai police.
Lawrence Bishnoi had previously made headlines for allegedly planning to target Salman Khan over the actor's involvement in the 1998 blackbuck hunting case, which the Bishnoi community found deeply offensive.
As investigations continue, security around high-profile figures remains a concern, with authorities working to verify the details surrounding the recent incidents.
