On Monday, social media was flooded with heartfelt messages as Vistara operated its final flights before officially merging with Air India. The Tata Group's decision to merge Vistara with Air India, aimed at consolidating its aviation ventures, has reshaped the industry by creating India’s only full-service carrier under the Air India brand.

Vistara, which trended on X, saw countless users post fond memories and express gratitude for the airline’s years of service. One passenger on a final Vistara flight shared, “Capturing the moment as I’m on a Vistara flight today. Tomorrow, this will be Air India. Happy to have flown with this great brand built over a decade.”

Another user posted a video from a recent Vistara flight, thanking the airline for its consistent quality, saying, “Thanks for a wonderful flying experience every time @airvistara. Truly gonna miss you!”

Describing Vistara as “a gem in the skies,” one post read, “Farewell @airvistara! Your unmatched service, delicious meals, and warm crew made every flight unforgettable. Thank you for the memories!”

Vistara, launched as a joint venture between Tata Group and Singapore Airlines, will now merge fully into Air India. Singapore Airlines retains a 25.1% stake in the expanded Air India, now positioned as India’s flagship full-service airline.
