Senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi, according to sources familiar with the development on Thursday.

The 78-year-old veteran politician is reported to be in stable condition and is expected to be discharged by Friday, the sources added.

Although the precise time of her admission remains unclear, it is understood that she was brought to the hospital on Thursday morning.
