India's javelin star, Sumit Antil, secured his second consecutive Paralympic gold medal with a remarkable performance on Monday, September 2, in Paris. Entering the event as the frontrunner, Sumit lived up to expectations by delivering a record-breaking display. Throughout his six attempts, Sumit twice surpassed his own previous Paralympic record, showcasing his excellent form from the outset.

In Tokyo, Sumit claimed gold with a throw of 68.55 meters, setting a new Paralympic record. However, on his very first attempt in Paris, he exceeded that mark with a throw of 69.11 meters, taking an early lead in the competition. The excitement didn't stop there, as Sumit went on to shatter his own record again with a massive throw of 70.59 meters, further solidifying his dominance in the field.
