The grandfather of the Pune teenager involved in the Porsche accident has been arrested for allegedly coercing the family driver into taking blame for the incident. Pune Police have indicated the possibility of invoking kidnapping charges against him.

Police confirmed that immediately after the accident, efforts were made to pressure the driver into assuming responsibility. The grandfather reportedly confined the driver and pressured him to take blame instead of the minor, assuring him of being acquitted.

The Porsche, purportedly driven by the intoxicated teenager, tragically collided with two software engineers on a bike in Kalyani Nagar early Sunday morning. Despite this, the teenager was granted bail just fifteen hours after the accident, with conditions such as composing an essay on road safety.

Following public outcry over the swift bail decision, the teenager was remanded to a child observation home on Wednesday.
