Three Arrested After Deadly Fire at Rajkot Gaming Zone Claims Over 20 Lives

Three individuals, including the manager and owner of the TRP Game Zone, have been arrested following a tragic fire in Gujarat's Rajkot that resulted in over 20 deaths, including nine children

Three people have been arrested following a tragic fire at a gaming zone in Rajkot, Gujarat, which resulted in over 20 fatalities. Among those detained are Nitin Jain, the manager, and Yuvraj Singh Solanki, the owner of the TRP Game Zone.

The fire, which broke out on Saturday evening, claimed at least 24 lives, including those of nine children. The incident is currently under investigation by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by Senior IPS officer Subhash Trivedi and includes five other officers.

According to PTI, the blaze began in a temporary structure at the TRP Game Zone. Four fire brigade vehicles were dispatched to control the flames and conduct rescue operations.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has directed authorities to ensure the immediate treatment of the injured. In a tweet, he stated that the Municipal Corporation and other administrative bodies have been instructed to prioritize rescue and relief efforts.

Additionally, Chief Minister Patel announced an ex gratia payment of Rs 4 lakh to the families of the deceased and Rs 50 thousand to those injured. He also confirmed the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to determine the cause of the fire.
