WhatsApp is developing a new feature aimed at simplifying the process of joining calls through the app, making it easier for users to connect with others. This update will streamline the creation and sharing of call links, allowing users to join voice or video calls with a single tap from within the calls tab. Initially, this call link sharing feature will be rolled out exclusively for group chats.

According to a screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, the option to create a call link will be available alongside other options like attaching photos or documents. This indicates that WhatsApp is focused on enhancing the user experience by making group calls more flexible and hassle-free.

Currently, when a group call is initiated, all members are automatically rung. However, with this upcoming feature, group members will have the flexibility to join the call at their convenience, without the need for everyone to be notified at once. This is especially beneficial for large groups or global teams spread across different time zones.

While WhatsApp has allowed users to create and share call links for the past two years, this update will improve the feature by enabling users to generate and share links directly within group conversations, making the process more seamless and user-friendly.

Once the call link is shared in a group chat, other members can easily tap to join, avoiding the need for a group-wide ring notification. This update will cater to users who prefer more flexibility in coordinating group calls, especially in global groups where availability varies.

The feature is still under development and will be introduced in future updates, giving users something to look forward to.

In addition to this, WhatsApp has recently integrated Meta AI into its chat interface, and is now working on an exciting new feature called voice chat mode. This upcoming feature will allow users to interact with Meta AI using real-time voice commands instead of typed messages. Users can speak directly to Meta AI, which will respond with a voice selected by the user, offering a more personalized experience. Various voice options will be available, letting users choose the one that best suits their preferences.

WhatsApp continues to innovate, ensuring that these enhancements provide a more efficient and user-friendly experience in future updates.
