During his February 22–24 visit to Singapore, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held high-level meetings aimed at boosting investment and strategic cooperation between the two regions.
Adityanath met Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, and senior representatives from leading financial institutions including Temasek, GIC, and DBS Group.
Discussions revolved around collaboration in infrastructure development, logistics, renewable energy, data centres and workforce training. The visit resulted in the signing of multiple memoranda of understanding with Universal Success Enterprises Limited. The agreements include plans for an integrated township near Jewar Airport, a proposed logistics park in either Kanpur or Unnao, and the establishment of a hyperscale data centre park. Combined, the projects are estimated at over ₹6,650 crore and are expected to generate approximately 20,000 employment opportunities.
Skill development also featured prominently in the talks. The Uttar Pradesh government advanced discussions with Singapore’s Institute of Technical Education to enhance training programmes in aviation, advanced manufacturing and other high-growth sectors.
In a post on social media, Prime Minister Wong welcomed Adityanath and described Uttar Pradesh as one of India’s fastest expanding regional economies. The two leaders explored ways to deepen cooperation under the India-Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, with a focus on investment flows, digital transformation and infrastructure collaboration.
Adityanath reiterated his commitment to strengthening bilateral ties under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while members of the Indian community in Singapore extended a warm reception to the visiting delegation.
The visit signals Uttar Pradesh’s growing push to attract global capital and expertise as it positions itself as a key engine of India’s economic growth.
