The Delhi High Court rejected the bail pleas of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in cases filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) regarding the Delhi liquor policy.

Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma, while denying bail, cited "grave misuse of power" and "breach of public interest" by Sisodia during his tenure as deputy Chief Minister.

The court noted Sisodia's significant influence within the Delhi government and highlighted evidence suggesting manipulation of public feedback to advance personal agendas in the policy-making process.

In response, AAP expressed disagreement with the verdict, alleging a political conspiracy by the BJP and announcing plans to seek justice in the Supreme Court.

Atishi, an AAP leader and Delhi minister, asserted that despite extensive investigations spanning over two years and involving numerous officers, no evidence of financial wrongdoing by AAP leaders has been found.

Sisodia was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in March last year in connection with alleged money laundering related to the liquor policy case, subsequently taken into custody by the CBI.
