Bombay High Court Grants Bail to Sukesh Chandrasekhar After Nine Years in Fraud Case
Sukesh Chandrasekhar, involved in a fraudulent investment scheme, receives bail from the Bombay High Court despite pending cases
06-07-2024Sukesh Chandrasekhar has been granted bail by the Bombay High Court after spending over seven years in custody for his involvement in a fraudulent scheme.
Arrested in 2015 for charges including cheating and criminal conspiracy, Sukesh, along with actor Leena Maria Paul and others, faced allegations of operating a bogus company and luring investors with promises of high returns and incentives like cars and gold coins.
Despite a previous bail granted by the Supreme Court in 2016, contingent on a financial deposit that he failed to fulfill, Sukesh remained incarcerated.
His recent bail was contested by prosecutors citing pending cases in Delhi. However, the High Court acknowledged his extended imprisonment and ordered his immediate release.
