Kejriwal Seeks Seven-Day Extension of Interim Bail in Money Laundering Case
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal requests Supreme Court for seven-day extension of interim bail in money laundering case as current bail expires on June 1
27-05-2024Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has filed a plea in the Supreme Court requesting a seven-day extension of his interim bail in connection with the money laundering case related to the liquor policy scam.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) stated that Kejriwal needs the extension due to scheduled medical tests.
Kejriwal, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on March 21 and held in Tihar Jail, was granted interim bail by the Supreme Court on May 10.
His current interim bail is due to end on June 1.
