Bollywood singer Lucky Ali has filed a complaint with the Karnataka Lokayukta, accusing IAS Officer Rohini Sindhuri, her husband, and her brother-in-law of land grabbing. Ali confirmed the development on his official X account, naming the accused parties.
Ali alleges that Sindhuri, along with her husband and politically influential brother-in-law, has misused state resources and funds to illegally seize land. This isn't the first instance Ali has mentioned these allegations. In December 2022, he tagged the Director General of Police, Karnataka, in a series of posts, claiming that his farm, a trust property, was being unlawfully encroached upon by Sudhir Reddy and Madhu Reddy from the Bangalore land mafia, allegedly with Sindhuri's assistance.
Rohini Sindhuri is also involved in a separate legal dispute with IPS officer D Roopa Moudgil. On February 18 last year, Sindhuri discovered that Moudgil had made several allegations against her in Facebook posts, accusing her of sharing private pictures with fellow IAS officers. This dispute escalated into a public feud, resulting in the state government transferring both officers.
Subsequently, on February 21, Sindhuri issued a legal notice to Moudgil, demanding an unconditional apology and Rs 1 crore in damages for reputational harm and mental distress. On March 24, a Bengaluru court, hearing Sindhuri's private suit, initiated a criminal defamation case against Moudgil. Moudgil then approached the High Court to quash the case, but her plea was rejected on August 21. She has since taken the matter to the apex court, where it is currently pending.
