A Mumbai court granted bail on Monday to Shinde Sena leader Rajesh Shah, whose son Mihir Shah is accused in a fatal hit-and-run incident. Rajesh Shah was released on a bond of Rs 15,000.

The hit-and-run, which occurred in Mumbai's Worli area on Sunday, July 7, involved a BMW car registered in Rajesh Shah's name. The vehicle, allegedly driven by 24-year-old Mihir Shah, struck a scooter, resulting in the death of a woman and injuries to her husband.

The victims, Pradip Nakhaw (50) and his wife, Kaveri Nakhaw (45), were returning from Sassoon Dock after buying fish when the BMW hit them from behind near Atria Mall around 5:30 am. Kaveri Nakhaw succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment.
